Abstract Submission Guidelines

General Information
  • The deadline for abstract submission is May 20, 2016 – 5.00 PM EST (extended to June 13th, 2016 – 5.00 PM EST)
  • The official language for the abstracts is English.
  • Original scientific studies unpublished in a peer-review journal at the time of the abstract submission deadline will be considered for selection as an oral or poster presentation.  
  • The first/presenting author will receive a confirmation of acceptance for oral presentation, poster presentation, or a notice of rejection, by e-mail before June 10, 2016.
  • All accepted abstracts will be published in the LUPUS Journal.

    • Abstract Title (maximum 200 characters)
    • Abstract Content (maximum 3,000 characters)
      • Please include the following content sections:
        • Background/Purpose

        • Conclusions
    • Keywords (maximum 45 characters)
      • Please separate keywords with “-”
    • Figure and Table
      • Maximum 1 image and 1 figure can be submitted.
      • Image or table is not included in the character count. 
    • Acknowledgment (maximum 300 characters)
    • Abstract Preview & Submit
      • After you complete each section, please preview your abstract, which is automatically saved. You can then login in as often as you wish before the deadline to edit your abstract. When you are ready to submit, please click on “submit to committee”; after then you will not be able to edit your abstract. After submitting your abstract successfully, you will receive a confirmation of the submission by e-mail.

Abstract Recognition Awards
Abstract Recognition Awards will provide travel support to the presenting authors of the highest scoring abstracts in different categories. Travel grants are specially intended to support young investigators; therefore applicants should be 35 years or younger as of September 24, 2016.  Authors interested in applying for an Abstract Recognition Award should be the submitting, first, and presenting author of a submitted abstract.
